lol, and I guess this was the best kind, in terms of I wasn't even actually trying to set one...
I honestly was thinking, "2012, maybe, I made this account?" and then was chagrinned to see how long it actually was! doh
... I feel good today knowing there are others out there who feel the same way. : )Fist and Faith wrote: ↑ Hello jenny. Yes, the 2nd is very deserving of its place in your heart.

Welcome, @Dungbeetles !
You're not alone. There are some others here reading or rereading the series. You've got some great stories ahead!

Hello!
The Chronicles (first six books) have meant a lot to me over the years since I first read them. Started Last Chronicles when the first book came out, decided to wait until they were all available, didn't think I could survive another cliffhanger like that! Then wandered and only came back a couple years ago. So impressed I revisited Mordant and the short stories, went on to Gap, Brew & Ginny, and caught up to Great God's War just as the last book came out. Even dipped into the Gradual Interview...
In the whole 40 years, since the long-ago ex who gave me a copy of Lord Foul's Bane, I've never met anyone else who's actually read any of it.
Until I came here. So good to see there's an online community of folks who've loved and read these books in depth.
Thank you.

I can see that you do!
Thanks, everyone, for the warm welcome and good wishes. I'll be around, from time to time and as things occur to me. Always something more to see, something more to learn.

Welcome to the Watch, Helen Blood!
I loved reading that you have tuned into so much Donaldson in recent years! I enjoy most all of his work (especially Mordant's Need and the Gap), and like you finished up The Great God's War 's last book The Killing God earlier this year. I considered it satisfying, though it's not my favorite SRD. I am glad you tried the Ginny & Brew mysteries, as I found the characters entertaining in those. Please post away on here when you feel like it!
Like Savor Dam, I also like the pun of your name!
Best wishes, and hoping to see you post more of your thoughts,
Cord Hurn
