TC & Middle-Earth
Just a funny thought... I don't think the folk of Middle-Earth would have tolerated Thomas Covenant nearly as much as the folks of The Land. As I was reading Faramir talking back and forth with Frodo and Sam, the thought just struck me, heh... I think if TC got anywhere near that Forbidden Pool they'd shoot him faster than they'd even think about shooting Gollum, poor guy. Heck, TC would be drawn to the Ring worse than Boromir... Him and Gandalf...boy...
I hope this is the right forum for this topic, lol

Yeah, the Oath of Peace is the only reason TC lived past the first few chapters. After raping Lena??? Forget it! Even if he hadn't done that, one of the good guys in Middle Earth would have killed him just for being so annoying. I can see him running with Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli, on their way to Rohan. You KNOW he would have insulted Galadriel. Aragorn could have held Gimli back once, but two or three times, and the last thing Covenant would have heard was "Khazad!" before his head rolled down a hill. Heck, they'd probably have killed him just so they didn't have to keep hearing "Hellfire! Hell and blood!" every time he stumbled.

*snicker*
I have this image of Sauron suddenly realizing the Nazgul were being controlled by Ravers, and Lord Foul has arrived to put a collar around his neck and a fool's cap on his head!
Meanwhile, Carrieol Wildwood organizes the Ents into a real army, the Dunadan meet the Haruchai and start thinking of themselves as wimps, Osondrea takes charge of the Council of Elrond (sending several members to bed without their suppers), and Covenant himself meets Frodo--who promptly starts feeling better about himself in comparison.
Hmmmm...other images...
Saruman trying to tell the Keseryn of the Gyre what to do.
Orcs trying to take on ur-viles (and getting turned into chipmunks for their trouble).
The Riders of Rohan trying to capture and tame Ranyhyn!
A building contest between Giants and Dwarves.
It just goes on and on...!

Hmm! Baddie vs. Baddie
I wonder, how would Foul (with the white gold) fare against Sauron (with the One Ring)? Heck, we could have Foul's Giant-Raver armies square off against Sauron's Nazgul-led Mordor armies.
Anybody out there know how many numbers Foul and Sauron actually had minion-wise? Blah, more is confusing if you put Morgoth into the mix. Weren’t Morgoth’s armies vaster than Sauron’s

Sauron was Morgoth's servant, but he was his most dangerous one. Sauron had some of the abilities of Lord Foul. Before Sauron got caught up in the destruction of Numenor, he had the ability to seem like a good guy.
Lord Foul sat on Kevin's council for years. He must have had contacts to hide those eyes.

Any jackass can kick down a barn, but it takes a good carpenter to build one.
