Windows XP Service Pack 2

Post by Fist and Faith »

Anybody else get this update? It took DAYS to download, and now I need to install it. But it says, just to be safe, I should backup my computer first. That doesn't sound particularly optimistic to me. Has anybody installed this?

I have loaded down and installed the update on two computers. [Thank god for broadband!]

So far no problems *knocks on wood*!

I got a friend to download it as soon as it was available (ie before the official release), and installed without any problems. Seems to work. Doesn't really add anything of use, however.

By the way, when I went to download it there was an option to mail a CD. May be a better choice for dial-up!

Heh. Too late now. If I'd paid attention when it started... :D

Anyway, thanks for the responses from you two. Someone told me it was causing lots of problems everywhere. Maybe I won't be so scared to try it now. :hairs:
