"Mostly muffins sir."- My answer in response to the question posed by the officer, "Son, do you have anything on you I should know about?"

His response: "Holy $&!^. He's not kidding! Look at all these muffins!"

Personally, I don't consider anything after the SNES/Megadrive era old school.

Let's all take a moment to remember where the power glove was first seen...THE WIZARD!!! ah what a lovely movie. Do you remember when the kid instinctively knew that if you ducked on top of the white brick in mario III you'd be able to find the hidden warp flute. That was phenomenal. And man...that powerglove...wow was that useless.
Now you're playing with Power. Expensive and Clumsy Power!!!

The Power Glove is impressive, I must admit.

But if you want the ultimate classic in old school computer gaming, you must EXAMINE this

I think classic games are 16 bit and under now..although the gba is releasing all those 16 bits, so they don't really count as much anymore.
Zork I is hardcore. So is Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy.. ALL text adventures generally made before 90

I didn't know there was an Amber text adventure. That's awesome! Here's a good site for anyone interested in the old interactive fiction stuff:
