Those who need, and those who will give

Post by Fist and Faith »

Edge is the most recent one to rave about the fact that some will not be seeing Runes for quite a while. Edge, I'll mail you a copy tomorrow if you pm me your address. I thought this would be a good place for others to make it known that they'd be willing to mail a copy out to those of us who are what I could only describe as in Hell! After all, when we're able, Watchers take care of their own.

I'd happily do so, but I borrowed it from Darth. He's already doing more than his fair share of Runes-sharing 8)

So long as my copy arrives before the Elohimbrunch.

Count me in. I have access to the book and am willing to ship. I may even be able to get a hold on another signed copy. Just PM me or reply to this thread.
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. There are no bookstores in my hometown so I'm unable to help. I am impressed by the generosity of the Watch, as always.

Sky, let us know if this Dymocks place doesn't end up stocking it. That's Edge's problem. It may or may not ever show up there. If a Watcher is unable to get it at all... Well, that's just wrong!

Got mine tonight. Had to cancell my order at B&N (they told me on the phone that even though they said it would be here today, they're just sitting in their warehouse and won't be delivered until the 23rd. wtf) then drive way the heck out to a Borders across town.

Runes is out in the UK on 21st, and I'm going to Manchester @ 12 Novenber for the signing.

So, if anyone wants a UK version signed then let me know and I'll pick up 2 copies and get them signed.

We shall see if arkansas can actually get this in stock somewhat quicker than it usually gets volumes of manga I'm waiting on...as in their usually about a month off...I'll have to check Hastings...

Fist as usual, you're the MAN! And Creator, you too! Great Av's guys. EDGE, of course. Doesn't he rock?!
Creator can you really get a signed copy? I may be interested if you can, that is if I don't hear from another source who "said" they could in the next few hours.
That would be awesome. I will let you know. Cate

Sorry Cate, I can't get one - it was an offer from Arturia for getting a UK signed version. But Romeo may be able to help!

Has anyone heard from Seafoam Understone lately? His last post was on Sept. 9th. I bring his name up because I remember him mentioning in a thread a while back that he likely wouldn't have the necessary funds to acquire Runes in hardback, so he was going to wait it out for the paperback version. I would hate to see such a veteran member of the Watch deprived of Runes, so I hope he becomes aware that there are folks here willing to help.

(I'd like to help out but I'm up here in Canada and still awaiting the book's arrival, so it would be faster and easier for our U.S. members to help Seafoam.)

Come back, Rockbrother! Your presence is missed.

It would be a near-crime to not send a copy to Seafoam. Heck, if anyone knows his address, pm me, and I'll send him one just in case he hasn't found other means.

Unless you're out there Seafoam? *peering through the darkness, hoping to catch a glimpse of our Rockbrother*
