Has anybody else read any of David Farland's books? He is good enough to have a section of his own here.

I read the first book of the Runelords series some time back but wasn't too impressed. I might have to give it another try, though.

I'm always willing to try a book again because sometimes I get turned off the first time because I just wasn't in the mood to read the book, I was distracted, etc.

I tried reading one fo the Runelords books, and it was like slogging through mud. On two seperate occasions I picked it up and could not get past the first chapter.

He does drag on a little in his books but the story is good none the less. The first book went slow because it was the beginning of the four book story that takes place over a couple weeks. Once it hits the second book things really start to pick up and everything starts to come together. I also heard from a friend that they are going to make a movie of the books. I don't know how they are going to do it but it sounds good.
