The Thomas Covenant Chronicles: The Game
EA Games did a pretty good job with Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth.
I would love to see the Chronicles done like that.
Skirmish battles would be awesome.
With the amount of games hitting the markets of all types, it's quite easy to picture the chronicles being made.
Storyline mode would be either Thomas and Company or Lord Foul and Ravers.
How cool would it be to use a giant raver in battle?

Seriously though....that's a LOT of walking, in the first Chronicles...

Would it be all battles, or would there be angsty character development, too?

Another nice twist would be the possibility to play Lord Foul á la Dungeon Keeper, if anybody still remembers that great game...

One of the buttons should have Covenant yell out the name of some random character.
"Joan!!!"
"Lena!!!"
And there has to be a depression meter. Has to. Heh.-jay

...and Hile Troy stumbling around blinbly in the background.
Wait, what a cool character to be: all you'd get toward the end of the battle would be a black screen and really detailed sound. Points up for facing directly at Mhoram when you speak to him.

Don't forget ALT-B to "make Bargain" and keep bargaining every few minutes in order to proceed with the game...

Better yet, a Japanese Dating Game! (Though I have no idea how many of you would actually get this...)
"My name is Carroil Wildwood! ^_^ Do you like my trees, they are pretty! <3"
A: Greet him.
B: Make a bargain to save your army.
C: Ask him out on a date.
D: 'Put it in.'
Ew...I just turned forestals into Japanese schoolgirls...
"GROVELER! YOU HAVE COME AT LAST! WE ARE FOEMEN AT HEART, FOR YOU HAVE BROKEN MINE! I WAS JUST POUTING, LOOK AT MY TEAR-SODDEN PILLOW! PITIFUL FOOL! <3"
A: Apologize.
B: Touch the Illearth Stone to activate your white gold.
C: Ask him out on a date.
D: 'Put it in.'

None of this menu-driven RPG stuff for me, thanks. If I'm playing a TC game, I want total environmental immersion. In a nutshell: TC as a first-person adventure using the Doom 3 engine. Or the future Quake IV engine.
Don't give me complicated menus, give me the krill in all its 3D-rendered glory so I can go kick Demondim butt. That'll push some pixels on my monitor.

Yes!
I loved the original Dungeon Keeper and still play it occasionally. Too bad the second one was so crappy.
They could definitely adapt the DK concept to the world of Covenant.
Ur-viles = Warlocks
Cavewights = Imps
Kresh = Hellhounds
Fire-Lions = Dragons
etc....
Banes like the Illearth Stone could easily stand in for stuff like the Increase Level and Resurrect Creature dungeon specials. I imagine the setting could still be underground in Mt. Thunder or the catacombs of the jheherrin, possibly.
Man....that would be a cool idea if it could be pulled off.

Could I play as a Ranyhyn? That'd show those kresh. Man, that would be cool... you'd command a detachment of Ranyhyn and Ramen against Lord Foul's army. Heh, then in the TPTP game you'd hang around starving to death until Covenant released you.
