The ones I've heard on that list (Clubfoot, Can't Stand Me Now, and 12:51) are pretty good. In fact, anything by the Libertines is worth hearing - go out and get both albums if you can.

Too bad about the Libertines split, really - they were a really great band. If Doherty's new band is half as good they'll be worth seeking out, though.


As for Kasabian, 'LSF' and 'Processed Beats' are two other great singles to look out for.

Yes I'm disappointed the Libertines broke up too. If you like Clubfoot, I'm pretty sure you'd like Louis XIV too.

I'm quite taken with Kasabian. For some guys from Leicester they're surprisingly talented. They've managed to create quite an original sound, whilst making varied and interesting songs. Other current bands, whilst possessing a distinctive sound, produce albums that lack depth with several songs sounding near identical.
