Hi guys!
I've recently informed you that I was trying to secure an interview with Guy Gavriel Kay. Unfortunately, I have just been informed that he presently doesn't have time to do this because he is living in France, working hard on a new novel.
I was told that it would perhaps be possible next year, when the book will hopefully be released. So no interview, but a brand new GGK book on the way! A fair trade, I would say!;)
On a different note, I've added this week's New York Times bestsellers on the weblog, if anyone is interested...
Have a nice day,
Patrick

The Last Light of the Sun is set during a fantasy analogue of the historical time period of Alfred the Great. So yes, Vikings are involved.
The novel is told in a much choppier style than Kay readers are accustomed to, to reflect the harsher lifestyles and climate of the setting and cultures.
It's good, but IMHO, not up to Kay's best, which to me are The Lions of Al-Rassan and Tigana.
