His "Song of Ice and Fire" series is A+++
I just got to book 3 after barely being able to put down books 1 and 2. Much to the dismay of any responsibilities I have had...that I naturally shirked to read.
God I love good books that are long. Book 2 was over 900 pages and book 3 looks just as thick.
I tried to read book 1 last year while waiting for the Darktower Book 6 and 7...but for some reason it didnt grab my attention and I put it down. But after needing new material to read and my brother and father assuring me the series was excellent...I took the time to start over.
Way worth it

You WILL NOT believe this!!!!!
Just bought a Game of Thrones from a bookstore and I got about a quarter of the way through, and all of a sudden it turned into a cookbook!!!!!!
THE FRUSTRATION!!!!!!
It goes back to the story later on, but the whole middle is full of zucchini recipes of all things.
Obviously a misprint, I imagine the bookstore will give me a new copy, but what if the whole lot is the same way??? YIKES!
Hard luck, eh?

Must be the new series ghost-written by Better Homes and Gardens under GRRM's name.
A Song of Soil and Sunlight, consisting of the following volumes:
A Game of Gardens
A Clash of Produce
A Storm of Gourds
A Feast For Worms
A Dance With Pesticides

Errrrr....Were the recipes good?!?!?
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. Wow...This is really strange. I just bought a cookbook and while whipping up a nice zucchini pie Jon Stark slayed three wildlings with tablespoon of spicy brown mustard!!!
