That's right, a movie is possible. Apparently, Simmons has been discussing a trilogy of movies with Scorcese and . . . Di Caprio. They want to produce both Hyperion and Endymion, but Raul and Aenea are the main characters in both. Damn. Di Caprio wants to play Raul.

That has been in talks for some time now...I'm glad that there is some top knotch talent involved, but on the other hand, it sounds like there would be soem fairly huge changes in the plot. 
There are also some other possible Simmons book/movie deals in the works, including the science fiction Illium and his horror novel Song of Kali...
