DC Elohimfest 2005

Post by Romeo »

It's taken some coordination, but we finally picked a date! Saturday, October 22nd. We'll meet at my house in Potomac, MD, around 5 pm for pizza.

I think I've already contacted most of the normal DC crowd - but if anyone else will be able to make it, please PM me and let me know!

Unfortunately, we'll be missing our guest of honor - The Leper Fairy. She was planning a DC visit (which is what prompted the party), but will be in other cities instead. We'll drink a toast to her nonetheless!
And then the ravens pecked out his eyes.

Yeah, I'll probably be there, in case anyone has the urge to punch me in the face for ruining their lives by making Kevin's Watch, heh.-jay

Oh God! I just realized. If I don't finish Runes before next week... I'll be sitting in a room full of Donaldson fans who HAVE read Runes, and they'll want to TALK about Runes... Ah oh...

I would love to attend, unfortunately I have too many responsibilities right now and too few $$$$$'s.One day lets have an Elohimfest in my grandparents 40 acre field, dress in character and stage mock battles and other various scenes.I could construct an island in the middle of their pond and plant a tree on it-and we could sail our drom,I mean canoe on a quest to obtain a branch. We could get none other than SRD himself to defend the tree with his martial arts and whoever defeats him will get one non evasive answer to any question they ask him-and a tree branch.

I'm only a blue belt with a white stripe in karate-do, and have only started back training a month or so ago after a three year break. I will leave the quest for the branch to someone else I think.

I only know 'Look, A Monkey' style*, but hopefully it'd be adequate to overcome Ak-Haru Kenaustin Donaldson.

You'll be in good company, Jay -- I'm planning to bring my daughter, who hasn't even finished LFB. :( Your mission, guys, is to convince her to drop everything until she finishes that book!!! (Well, except for classes and homework. And volleyball and Girl Scouts. And chores at home. But that darn anime stuff can GO!!! )

Yeah, we could introduce your daughter to all sorts of anime, heh.

Hehe. I don't really read comic books. Except for The Tick.

My anime fandom is limited to Adult Swim and whatever imports my anime friend shows me. Heh. And lately I haven't been able to watch much Adult Swim because I've been falling asleep by midnight every night this semester. So I'm sorry to say, A, but I've fallen behind on watching Inuyasha, heh.

I've gotten over watching the really bad anime like Dragonball Z, so I only watch the good stuff now. Like Escaflowne, heh. And it's so much easier to watch anime than to read Runes. So give me a break. :P -jay
