Possible theory

Post by Spring »

Perhaps...and I don't know whether it has been discussed, but perhaps the Land was created as a result of TC's fingers being amputated, it was, what a bit before he went to the land, and a couple of millenia had passed beforehand....

Dismiss or discuss.

I think there have been various postings on this but that they had concluded that the time line didnt quite match. I will have to look myself but there have definitely been a couple.

The time gap needed would have been at the barest minimum a decade in the "real world" if the difference in the speed of time is constant. If you want to match the creation of the Land to something in Covenant's life, his birth or the start of his attempts at a writing career would be a better candidate, I think.

Although SRD admits that he had no intetion af making Cov's life fir the History of the Land...the onset of his Leprocy seems to coerlate with the ROD...his time in the Leprosarium as the time when no one lived in the Land; and his return to home as the time when people started returning to the Land.
That being said, things like Rogers Birth, might Coincide with the Biirth of Kevin...TC and Joan getting married (and getting the White GOld Ring) might hook up with Berek Creating the Staff...but again SRD says that none of this is the case.

-But what does he know.

the kind you keep for a really long time

Well, yes, I suppose. It would be easier if we had an exact real world - Land time difference, although for every one year in the Land there is...*grabs calculator* two days in the real world? No, that doesn't sound right. Ah well.
