So how did TC get to Vespers?

Upon re-reading Lord Foul's Bane, something struck me as rather odd. When Covenant meets Mhoram for the first time and the two of them set off for Vespers with Bannor, TC stops and refuses to cross the wooden walkway from the tower to the keep on account of his vertigo. Mhoram says he knows another way, but as I understand it there is no other way.
We're told that the keep of Revelstone can be quickly isolated from the tower by cutting down the walkways and the fact that the ur-Viles tried to climb in via the coigns of the keep suggests that there is no way into the keep apart from via the walkways. Maybe there was an enclosed walkway that Covenant would have felt more comfortable crossing, but it wasn't mentioned.
I wonder if Mhoram resorted to clandestine means to get Covenant to Vespers:
TC: "I ain't gettin' on no walkway, foo'!"
LM: "It's alright, I know another way. In the meantime you should drink this glass of milk that has not been tampered with in any way."
