need help

a friend installed some programs, and now verything is tiny on the screen here. have tried many things, nothing has made it larger. someone please tell me how to fix this problem. having trouble reading what i am typing.

Before we get into any other things: It's not the screen resolution? You've checked the display options (under 'appearence' and under 'settings')? (I expect you have, just want to make sure)

Do you know what programs were installed?

(to make things easier for you, there's usually an option in the 'view' menu on your internet browser that lets you make the text bigger on webpages)

microsoft word was added. the view toolbar is at the maximum and hasn't helped.

where do I find screen resolution?

Control Panel>Display>Settings


or right click on desktop and select Properties ;)

very good, Secret Esmer, but what if sgtnull's problem is with the text size in his internet browser? He has to change that, maybe?

sorry, I didn't know what a view toolbar was, since there is no such thing, heh. :roll:

sarge, did you set your resolution in display settings to 800 X 600?

Have you went under 'appearance and themes' and adjusted the screen to the lowest resolution?Slide that little slide thingy all the way over to the left.
