Linden's hole in her shirt..

Post by TalonHawk »

I forget the exact passage, but at some point in Runes, there is an analogy of the cold wind coming through the hole in her shirt feeling like the coldness of a krill..

... foreshadowing anyone?

Does she get stabbed like the Forestal in order to release her power?

Reminds me of Covenant getting blasted so he can be free to do what he thinks he needs to.

Only problem I have is that she has (or at least *thinks* she has) a hole in the back of her shirt that is much larger for the exit wound. I guess that could be explained if power blasted out the back of her..

Let it go, Creator. Get use to Linden! She is a great character and here to stay. She is the lynch-pin to this whole mess, and now that TC is on the loose (heck the Law of Death is broken, remember ... any physical appearance of TC is bad news!) So it's up to Linden to save the day!

Weeeeeeeeeeee!

if Linden gets stabbed and never comes back, it will be too soon.

I see hooks like that all the time. But more often than not they don't pan out the way I thought they would. Which is strange, since SRD doesn't usually say anything unless he means it - and he means to say it in exactly the way it's presented.

That's a VERY interesting observation, though! I missed that one myself.
And then the ravens pecked out his eyes.

It certainly could have been meant as foreshadowing; but it could also have been there just to remind us of the krill.
I thought you were a ripe grape
a cabernet sauvignon
a bottle in the cellar
the kind you keep for a really long time
