Do you think the Hauchai suspect Covenant is Lord Foul?
Well they definitely distrusted him up to the point of his encounter with Drool in LFB.

The aftermath of the battle was pretty much his worst point. I with you there, although at the end of LFB his reluctance to help Prothall call down the Fire Lions and save everyone because of his "bargain" really burned me. Of course he eventually did and to boot, called out the Ranyhyn. ...

That seems quite likely, dukkha . It becomes clearer in Runes that anything related to Earthpower, presumably including the Law of the Old Lords, is antithetical to the Demondim-spawn. Witness the sickness of the Waynhim guarding the Staff of Law. So maybe the ur-viles couldn't get near it because ...

OK folks, good stuff. It makes a little better sense to me now. I suspect now that the Word was invisible and miscellaneous catacomb denizens never made it to that cave passage to activate it. When Birinair charged on unknowingly into the Word, it was triggered and made visible. Good spoiler Relayer...

Yes Warmark - "Why he ran here?" Mhoram spoke absently; all of him except his voice was focused on the scroll which Prothall held up like a mighty talisman. "Perhaps it is possible. He knew the old maps. No doubt they were given to us in the First Ward so that in time we might find ou...

The Second Ward

Sorry if this has been discussed before but I cannot find much reference to it when searching. The Second Ward - When the Questers are in the catacombs searching for the Staff of Law in LFB - Terrel's voice held a note like urgency as he said, " Ur-viles approach-perhaps fifty. They have seen t...

I see that there does appear to be a provision for member albums however I cannot access it, I am not authorized. Is it turned off globally, do I need to be a different type of member, post count based? How does it work?

I know conflict, conflict, disbelief, preservation, etc. I just have a problem with him at this point in the story because I think I would have caved in to the reality of the Land by this time. This first book always makes me crazy, I'll get over it. But I must say that I'm getting gobs more out of ...

I think I just can't really understand him. Kinda like how I can't really understand women. This line, "Do not torment him. Please. He is a Giant. This is the caamora, the fire of grief. Has there not been enough pain this night?" I killed five Cavewights! Covenant cried in bereft fury.&qu...

I've also wondered from here, Covenant saw his chance, approached the Giant. Foamfollower's manifest pain brought his confused, angry grief to a pitch that demanded utterance. He himself had killed five Cavewights, five-! His ring was full of blood. "Well," he snarled, "that must've b...

When did you start disliking Covenant?

This is my second time around the series and for the most part I do not have a problem with TC's unbelief or really his choices. However, come many days later at Soaring Woodhelvin I find this is where I start to dislike him. After the battle, he's all messed up because of all the death around him a...
