Does it count if the only reason I haven't read the book is because I'm currently working on finishing another?

Perhaps Phillip Seymour Hoffman could play Angus. He has tremendous range and this role would be the kind of challenge that actors of his caliber look for. I'm not sure I've seen him play a villain yet, but he could definitely pull it off. Might have to darken the hair to make him look more sinister...

He is quite ruthless in the movie Face/Off (which is reaching back a ways) where he and John Travolta trade the role of villain.
