The Stages of Death

It struck me earlier this week that in both the first and second chronicles Covenant seemed to follow the stages death from Lord Foul's Bane to The Power that Preserves and from The Wounded Land to White Gold Wielder. It now seems as though Linden is following her own stages of death in The Final Ch...

This is quite the interesting thread, I would like to remind everyone that the creator chose covenant for a reason. Why would he choose a leper if in fact he didn't wan't foul to use that to his advantage. A desease like Leprosy would be all to appealing to Foul. Advancing a new theory here, but per...

I recall this as well. I may have the patients for reading Donaldson, but you guys are writing little novela's here, why not put a thought or argument forward, get a reasponse and then respond in kind? I get tired of reading such long posts, especially when so much gets repeated. Although I'm Guilty...

Kevins Dirt...

I was contemplating why it was called Kevins Dirt, although I'm fairly sure it was mentioned directly in the book as to why, and I Came up with another kooky theory. With time travel so prevalent in runes, would foul have gone back into the past shortly after TRoD and brought the dirt back through t...

Lindens being "weak" is correlating to the simple fact that her health sense is blocked and or deminished by Kevins dirt. With our her ability to see, she has less control of the power she has. I believe it is even mentioned that she is having a much harder time finding the power within he...

I've always looked at it like this - If you were Foul, what would you enjoy more - destroying the Land and the Lords through superior armies, or causing the High Lord to destroy the Land himself? It's got to be the latter. And if this is the case, then Foul's whole reason for the war was to cause K...

I was also always under the impression that the amnion were superior in technology but were far behind on production capabilities. They just couldn't build and manufacture at a rate to compete properly. I would attribute this to their way of thinking, their hive like mentality would suggest that bec...

Not remotely. Book one covers a series of events in a very small area, that occur chronologically before the rest of the series. Though the plot of book one has relatively little to do with the later books, familiarity with it is essential for understanding several key events. Well, yes I see what ...

I was under the impression that it told the whole story... Book one is like the synopsis. The rest are all detail and an ending.

I would have to say that the Elohim were trying to tip the balance in their favor. Although I never particularly looked at the Elohim as good, I most defeinitely saw ur-Viles as bad. So if we see the Elohim as "good" then why would they want what they view as bad to be part of such a power...

A strange influence...

Has anyone ever looked at the defenition of the creator in The Ill Earth War? I find it kind of funny that that seems to tie in almost directly with Dr. Who... I think that even foul is Refered to as "The Master" a few times. Some of you may not understand this but I would like comments fr...
