Thanks all! I'm saddened to hear of the author's death, though. She's written other Atlases; I have one called the "Forgotten Realms" Atlas which is useless to me because I don't have any "Forgotten Realms " books or D&D stuff, but I just LOVE maps so much... I'm wierd like t...

Atlas of the Land

I have a copy of Karen Wyn Fonstad's "Atlas of the Land." I'm curious if a.) Anybody else has it and how they feel it relates to their enjoyment of the Chronicles, and b.) If anyone knows if it will be updated to include new scenes and descriptions from the Last Chronicles (which I haven't...

I know that picture of Korik from Gilden-Fire was probably sanctioned by Donaldson, but the face is all wrong for me, if for no other reason than the emotion that is ALL OVER it. I thought the Bloodguard were emotionless, blank and indifferent... I sorta picture "Chief" from "One Flew...

Sure, I guess... Depp has range like no other actor in his class. He has a knack for injecting life into lifeless character sketches, making the dull and inanimate interesting and tangible i.e. relative. He might be the one to do it. Then again, I have no real discernible voice in my head for the &q...

I still think the cable networks could jump on it, they just need the right pitch. It would be the first fantasy series of its kind, and its dark subject matter would fit right in with the current cable series offerings. I guess the "hero" in Rescue Me raped somebody this season... The Sop...

Hi all! I've already posted some stuff in the Movie Forum, but this is my "official" howdy. I'm 35, and have just picked up the books again after my first reading 20 years ago. I'm understanding alot more now than I did then, that's for sure. In short, I'm interested in seeing the Chronicl...

Chronicles Should be a Cable Series

I don't watch alot of TV, but I've gotten the feeling in the last few years that cable series like The Sopranos, Rescue Me, Weeds and others would be an angle by which producers could tackle the extremely complex Covenant series. Without having to cram all the information of the book into a 2-3 hour...
