Chapter 8 Vernal Equinox...of Doom!

The folks at this Soaring Woodhelven were really the strangest hippie commune I've ever seen. Although kind of soft they actually had weapons and strangely no pot whatsoever. They did however grow and produce some really good dark chocolate. I explained that what they were doing was both organic and...

Chapter 7 Raving Madness

I assessed my situation carefully. I was in a giant tree with Atiaran and three dudes carrying something like baseball bats. "You must come with us and identify yourselves." One of the men said sternly. "I am Atiaran-Trell mate of Mithil Stonedown and this is a stranger to the Land, J...

Job is one of the earliest direct mentions of Satan/Devil/Lucifer etc. The serpent is mentioned in Genesis but not as the personifed adversary. Very important not on botht the origins of the Devil and Hell. They are late add-ons for Judeo-Christians.

I tried several times to set the order manually, considering it was set to "manually set by league manager" however it wouldn't allow it. I even called ESPN to try and resolve it but the guy I talked to may have been the single least helpful or interested person I have ever had the pleasur...

Yes, you may auto-draft. I have tentatively set the keepers since the originial deadline had passed as Ryan Grant, Steven Jackson, and Marques Colston. However you could chose any you like and I (as league Commish) can set them up to an hour before the draft.

At this moment, I have the draft order ready with cybrweez drafting just ahead of Cleburne since he's placed very low in the last two seasons. However, is he going to be playing? I sent him a pm and he didn't respond. Do we have an alternate in this case?

The deadline is the 26th and if you go to the league site you can see the current list of keepers. We are waiting on Brinn, Wiebe, Cybrweez, and Dan, iirc.

The search is certainly not over. I'm working on the basic assumption of beginning. Since our rather nascent understanding of quantum mechanics is asking larger questions is it proper to start with, ah, where did it start? That may be the Oath of Peace for astronomers. We, as scientists, have to kee...

HLT,

That's the other real human preception problem we have...we can only think in terms of space of existance like a container. We, as humans, love defining lines and boundaries. It seems time, space, and existance don't play by our rules. At least that is what sort of makes sense to me, you know?

Why?
Time isn't as relevant quantumly as it is biologically. Our relation to time as opposed to the subatomic is a mental wrestling match that we refuse to submit too. Our basic dislike of not a beginning moves it to the inconceivable.

Why must there be a beginning and a cause? What evidence is there for a previous void? You know there is a lot of ins, lot of outs, a lot of what-have-yous...

In one of those deep philosophical veins...What is "cause"? As humans we get very caught up in oppositional forces, our language, and our cultural perceptions. We really have a hard time with the idea of non-existance, beginnings, and causation. It is our neurotic compulsion to exert contr...
