Ah, yes, and then there is that one. Thank you. (BTW, I laughed out loud at that part... I found it quite hilarious.)

Sorry to drift from the whole accidental TLotR vs. TCTC (even though I did draw a connection between Elves and the Woodhelvin), but I would like to just say something that I have seen in TCTC, but is very rare. I believe that our TC only smiled genuinely twice. (If there are more times, please corre...

I think Hile Troy's POV would have been excellent as well (however, my main pick is still TC) and we all know Hile Troy has done his share of suffering, even if not to the extent of TC. Also, I think it would be better if it were pre-forstaal Troy. Just a thought...

I personally prefer the story to be told through TC's eyes .. because he is so conflicted and torn .. he brings great interest .. great frustration .. great irritation .. and the greatest opportunity for empathy into the story .. imho .. I came away from TCTC really feeling something for this miser...

I completely agree with Foamfollower. He does drive me crazy some of the time but you gotta love him. There's just no way not to.. Though I did see someone on the Guestbook say that they're the only ones in the world who hate TC. And I agree with everyone who's said that there are no Chronicles with...

If I drank the Earthblood, my command would be... :? Well, this is a tough one. To tell you the truth, I wouldn't change a thing about the Land. Like many of you have said before, no mortal could make a wise decision or one without some major flaw that would turn us all upside down and cause evil PB...

I just have to say that both have their strong points. I can never choose favorites when it comes to something good like the Chrons. I mean, the First Chronicles.. well, it's the beginning and I personally always feel a nostalgic attatchment to the beginning of anything (particularly books). And the...

Thanks, Skyweir. I am glad to be among people who share as much passion about TCTC as myself. Where I am, I only know of 2 people who've even heard of TCTC. 'Tis reassuring to know there are more of us out there.

I have often spent hours contemplating whether or not I would survive in TC's situation. Or how I would have reacted to certain things. I would like to think that I would have survived, or been very gallant or something... but I guess that none of us will ever truly know unless we contract leprosy a...

Hello all, The first time I discovered TCTC was last December and I was 14. My dad and I were at a local Borders waiting to go see The Two Towers. I had read Tolkien, and loved every bit of course and my dad had read TCTC when he was in college. He said to me, "If you loved The Lord of the Ring...
