Yes, an HBO or Showtime series would be the ONLY way you can do the series justice.

There is just too much complexity that would require a LOT of "watering down" for a film series.

Hey, new here myself. I first read Lord Foul's Bane back in high school, about 17 years ago, on the advice of a friend. Since then I have read the first two series at least 30 times each. In fact, the book my friend loaned to me I still have... lol I have never been a "fantasy" book reader...
