Soullbiter, you ask, "WTH has this country come to? There seems to be no rational discourse anymore." Mostly, it is because Rational Thought has been overrun with Emotional Rhetoric. Rational Thought usually takes longer than our Sound-bite Airwaves make time for. I like what Thomas Sowell...

NASA: Evidence Volcanic Activity Is Heating Up Antarctica's Ice Sheet Great, but it will still be our fault, as instead of making peace with the Volcano Gods, we have actually only cheesed them off by throwing so many virgins into them that they are seeking revenge. We did this to ourselves!??!?!? ...

That's why we have empowered one man (our chief exec) to set immigration policy for us. That's why we have Presidents, because sometimes you need a leader to decide an issue. Perhaps. But leaders implies followers. He can set what he wants as policy (i.e. travel bans), but that doesn't mean he will...

It makes no sense to randomly choose people to enter our country. We should be choosing people according to a reasonable, purposeful policy, people who will contribute to our society, rather than resist and undermine it. This makes perfect sense. Except that we the American People cannot agree on w...

Facebook is where I find out about what is in my friends' lives. I don't pay too much attention to the adds. But if I did, I would note that the "trending" header calling out GHWB for groping (when hovered over) had a picture of Bush Sr. The one about Hillary funding Russian Dossier had on...

When I was in Venice, I had the Sepia a la nere, which is Cuttlefish served in its own ink with polenta. It was great, even if it did look like a bumblebee exploded on your plate. Had it twice!

The Ponte Vecchio is worth a gander, right near the middle of the town. Lots of shops and a lovely view of the Arno. Try the Pigeon stuffed with sausage. Heavenly.

We enjoyed the gardens, if they are not too much for your legs.

Yeah, I suppose. But in order for that to have happened, the Waif would have had to Kill Aria in the dark (Which is possible). But then, if we are to believe the story we see (and that is always a big "if") she needed to remove Arya's face outside of the Black and White temple, then cut he...

It's tough to say, Murrin. I'll be honest, I love the books much more than the show (despite the fact that the actors have now inhabited my brain), but who can say what is until the dratted things arise from the printer and get published? One of the things that makes me bat**** crazy, is the random ...

Well, the Mother of Dragons named them all after boys. So perhaps she didn't know their sexes. Or...they are like some frogs and can change sex. So more dragons could come. And perhaps it will be the mating of Aegon and Dany that will get the reptiles frisky? Who can say?

Well, wayfriend, there are some things to consider bout the Death of LF that have not been resolved. For instance: What will happen to the Vale now? When we left, LF was the beloved step-parent of Sweetrobin. How will he react to the news that LF is no longer there? This is an unbalanced child who i...

I still cannot believe we've gotten this far into it and not one single mention has been made by any of the characters of the possibility of a political marriage. It would be one of the first options considered! Daenerys would probably think of it herself! I was so sure that Rhaegal was gonna come ...

I purposely haven't spelled out deets cos no one has talked about this weeks yet ☹️ Then let's discuss!!! Wow, what a great pen-ultimate episode. They set up the finales in this show very well. Lots of high stakes action pushing us forward. Last year it was the Battle of he Bastards. This year, we ...

Davos suggested it, so it is on the radar. And we have seen Jon and Drogon interact well together, which is a bit promising. It yet may happen. But we know that Jon, like Viserys, while being a Targaryen does not posses the "Dragon" blood of Daenerys, who is seemingly immune to fire. His h...

Spoilers ahead for Episode 5...You've been warned! OK, so i re-watched the first 4 episodes leading into this one before it came on. It somewhat helped me understand what was going on with Arya/Littlefinger. I base this on the unfolding of these events: Littlefinger tells Sansa to fight all the batt...

I think they got the Arya/Sansa meeting perfectly. From the opening of the story through the death of Eddard, there is not a single place where they are lovey-dovey sisters. They were always complete opposites; each one thinking the other was stupid. After all that has happened, Sansa was able to se...

Am I the only one watching this season? I found this episode to be a bit frustrating. I'm happy to see Arya turn north, but looks like Jon won't be there when she arrives. Still, we'll see a Sansa/Arya reunion soon, and who knows how that will turn out? I enjoyed the Arya/Nymeria reunion, and I'm n...
