I must have been dreaming

Wow - looks like I was dreaming or something. Could have sworn it was in the books somewhere, but I guess I'm wrong. Too bad, it seemed very convenient. :-)

Thanks!!

Time differences between our world and the Land

I just finished re-reading 6 TC books plus Runes, and I don't remember coming across a passage which I'm SURE I read the first time I read the series (15 years ago!). The passage I'm thinking of is one where the time differences between our world and the Land are explained. The explanation had to do...

Yes, but the Ranyhyn *purposefully* don't arrive right on the third whistle... They are just creating some dramatic tension for the whistler. :-)

Do any of ya'll think that it is possible that the Sandgorgons have some of the same capabilities to 'ride' time as the Ranhyn? When TC summoned Nom, he had a hell of a far way to go to get to him at Revelstone, yet he made all the way from Brathairealm (spelling?) to Revelstone rather quickly, don...

I think he HAS to bring back the Sandgorgons - Nom's rending of samadhi Sheol was an obvious loose end, and both Anele and the harbinger elohim referred to Sandgorgons. Bringing back the Giants and the Sandgorgons would be a great way to destroy the other 2 ravers for good. This would be a cool sto...

Well, we are dealing with a time travel story, anything is possible. I am pretty sure Donaldson has been hinting that we get to visit the land in the time of the Old Lords. OMG, I never thought of that! That would totally rock. Imagine reading about a council with Loric, Damaleon (sp?), or even Ber...

I wonder how many others had to cover that last page? I'm glad I never looked ahead at the last page! Ha ha - I have to do that all of the time (cover the last page). I was almost uncovering that page line-by-line as I read. Sadly, I had already guessed who the two strangers were (well, I was prett...

Completely!

I just finished re-reading all of the First and Second Chronicles, as well as Runes, and I have to say, SRD does re-use a lot of odd words. The ones that bugged me the most?

Okay, I'm convinced... I'm going to re-read my cherished copies. I'm sure they will feel the love as I splatter soup from my lunch on them! :-) Glad to hear that nobody really regrets re-reading their copies. I collect computer stuff and once sold a system I thought I no longer needed, and have been...

Re-reading cherished copies of TCTC?

Hey everyone, I am hyped about the Last Chronicles and am about to re-read the first and second chronicles to bring myself back up to speed. But I have a dilemma. My copies of the 1st/2nd chronicles have sat unsullied on my bookshelf for about 11 years now. I don't want to damage them by re-reading,...

Found them!

Wow - I actually found my notes for my independent studies on The Chronicles. Looks like I did two different ones - a written one and an oral one. I will post the notes for both as soon as I transfer them from my trusty Apple II disks to PC (sometime tomorrow). Any thoughts on where I should post th...

Found the news as I was surfing the web at work(Tut tut) and couldn't concentrate on anything else for the whole day. Still buzzing! Doubt you've still got it if were talking early nineties but would be extremely interested in either seeing you study or further discussions on that topic. If a topic...

Thanks for the welcomes!

Wow - what a great bunch of welcome messages...! I thank you all for your kindness and for letting me know that others found Kevinswatch accidentally also. I don't feel quite so bad now. :-) I'm going to have to start re-reading the two trilogies now. It's been 12 years since I read them last, but t...

I am an idiot

You know, I hunted around and hunted around for an official SRD website about a year or so ago and couldn't turn up anything. Now, on frigging FARK.com of all places, I find out about the Last Chronicles, and from there I find this forum? What the hell?????????!!! I loved The Chronicles when I was i...
