I found LFB in my Dad's books in the early eighties, with the Darrell K. Sweet cover. I bought the other five right after that. I think my Dad has ADD, why else not buy/read the others?

Is sending Linden back to our world really a "reverse summoning"? It's not like sending someone from the Land to our world, just sending her back to where she belonged. It's kind of like potential energy. They're both rubber bands stretched while in the Land, just waiting to snap back. I t...

I saw this question on another list years ago, which made me go "Yeah!" and this thread reminded me of it. Hile Troy is from our world, but who ever heard of a guy named "Hile"? Were his parents German? Thomas is common, Linden less so but still believable. Hile already was consp...

Were the three ravers originally triplets or just brothers that chopped down a bunch of trees before the era of the Lords? That may explain some heirarchy. I know they possessed the Giant triplets because that sign of unusual fecundity was a sign that the Giant's exile in the Land was at an end. Unf...

Excellent responses! I too agree that the Elohim had become stagnant, that they were beings of pure Earthpower, therefore needed no Law. Law controls how disparate elements interreact. The Elohim prided themselves in their own self-exploration/expression of Earthpower. I think a major aspect that ha...

Reading the last several posts on this thread reminded me of a lingering question I had the last time I finished the first Chronicles. Did Mhoram actually surpass Kevin? He avoided the despair, he tapped the power of the Ritual of Desecration for non-destructive means. He didn't have the arrogance. ...

Thanks for the warm welcome ladies and gents. Like I said, I'm busy writing my own novel, and I think the emotional trauma of reading TCTC has caused me to repress some of my memories, but reading your posts is bringing it all back. The fact that his storyline is so deep and rich that it allows us s...

I just joined and am playing catch-up. I always thought Jim Caviezel's wounded, haunted eyes would be great for TC. Plus he can be gaunt. I've actually thought about trying to animate TC.

Hey folks! I can't tell you how thrilled I was to stumble across the pre-order of the new book on Amazon. I found Lord Foul's Bane in my dad's library when I was a kid. I devoured all six, even though I was too young to metabolize the depth of SRD's character development. Now I reread them every few...
