Words of wisdom to live by, my son (or daughter):

Never try to outwit the owl.

Never try to outrun the cheetah.

Never try to outanteat the anteater.

I went through the same experience with a relative who abused female members of my family. Though he's been dead for many years now, just thinking about the bastard is enough to make me start shaking with anger.

So I don't think about him.

The war that's coming between the fundamentalist Christians and the hard-core Atheists probably won't be the most violent of the holy wars. But it has the potential to be the most annoying. We'll, I'm going to t...

My lucid dreams have never been particularly fun. They're usually offshoots from nightmares, so all I do is make everything less scary, then wake myself up. Besides, because I know it's a dream, I don't have the sense of omnipotence or freedom that you describe - just vague disappointment and futil...

Never having astral travelled, I couldn't really define the difference. I can say though, that in lucid dreaming there are no limitations to your experience - i.e. you don't have to be in the 'real' world - your environment is limited only by your imagination. You can visit Middle Earth or the Land,...

After months of trying, I managed to have a lucid dream - and it was the most indescribable experience. In lucid dreams, you are aware you're dreaming, and are able to direct the dream. Everything is totally real, but you are able to do things only possible in dreams, such as fly or have superpowers...

And btw Joy herself has been nominated in a Readers Poll for best editor. You know what a brilliant editing job she's done on the Anthology, so you can vote for her here:
