The Irish are keen on their pocheen but alas I've never had any. Distilling is apparently quite dangerous because if you get the process wrong (ie temps etc) you end up with mixtures of organic alcohols, some of which have really nasty side-effects!

they get all the ingredients mixed together in a bag or a plastic bottle (we have 1 gallon and 5 gallon ones)
