Holsety is on the track of what I was looking for...why is there no defence against it?

But, my request for clarification is, are you looking for something that makes SOAR'S Super Light Proton Cannon canon different from any other Super Light Proton Cannon? Or are you looking for the general description of what makes ANY Super Light Proton Canon so devastating? (Since your question asked about Soar specifically, I was assuming it was the former, but now it sounds like you mean the latter - maybe it slipped your mind that certain other vessels were so equipped?)

I meant any. :D I referred to Soar's because the name sorta provides a clue, doesn't it? :D So I tried to avoid using it.

Because the weapon is Faster than Light. By the time you realize it was fired, you are already fried. (Not to mention that being bombarded with protons tends to give one a certain glow anyway...)

THAT answer I knew from the beginning. As I said, the question made it appear that there was something unique about the one Soar had, and I was wracking my brain trying to figure out what it was.

Anyway, Here is one that is probably a softball, but I did a search and it apparently hasn't been used yet...

What does SOD stand for in SOD-CMOS?

Damn, I should think more carefully before answering right. :D

Uh...on the topic of chips, how did Davies and Angus bypass the commands that forced him into stasis when the chip was removed?

Looks like you made it! And with this post, I make my monthly goal.

Now if I only remembered the answer to the trivia question...

Oh, a change is coming, feel these doors now closing
Is there no world for tomorrow, if we wait for today?

Congratulations on making it to 7K, Sorus!

I'm shooting for 1400 by month's end, now! :bang:

(As for the trivia question, just give it your best shot, or sneak a peek in the books if you want to; anything's better than just letting the game die out! ;) And if you're stuck thinking of a question, you can always provide a quote and ask, "Who said this?" or "To whom was this said?" or, "What was happening when this was said?", etc.)

When Angus and Milos bring back Davies from the Bill's prison, and Nick meets up with them in Trumpet, Nick offers something to Angus to "prove his good faith" that they will get Morn back from the Amnion.

What does Nick offer?
