It's certainly true that Soar and Free Lunch were firing at each other. Perhaps Soar fired at the singularity grenade while trying to hit Free Lunch and accidentally opened the singularity that killed Free Lunch. I'll guess that!

I think perhaps the answer is in the same passage as was quoted for the previous "Amnion, dealt three ways" question, the Hashi journal entry at the end of TDAGD which Syl so kindly quoted in its entirety here.

Av specifically asked who was responsible. Hashi considers himself responsible.

Sorry, I haven't been on here these past few days, Avatar, but I've had lots of real life to deal with lately! But I didn't want you to think I'd forgotten about you and the good old Gap Quiz!

Morn explains to Angus: "I can't save your ship but I can save you." She wants that box controlling her zone implant in return.

She says she'll tell the Com-Mine Security people three things to save Angus:

1. That Angus left on her orders (you have already guessed that part right, Avatar)

2. (Hint: Angus is innocent because of the way he was fooled. Tell how he was fooled to get this part of the question right! )

3. (Hint: Morn will say who was responsible for fooling Angus and tell Com-Mine what they should do about it.)
