Yes, everybody knew. In fact, the author is a member, although as I recall, she was a bit upset when we pointed out some problems with her work.

There's a review of the book by WF somewhere...the SRD forum I think.

It's from the masterwork he started after the next-to-last E-fest in Albuquerque. I love that part.
