hey Luci!

Av - she quotes a poem I wrote for her. I've done a few for specific members and a couple about the watch. here is such one about the Watch.

third shift driver

I am the living son
of doctor stanley livingston

I am the only son
of Thomas Alva Edison

we begin our descent...
null observes a lull
his sidekick to a sidetrip?
a flamboyant atomic samurai.
vis est satis (force is enough)
cat's ear and hawks beard
between the eye and bill...
more grist for the swill.

birds inverted -
hang in the sky
February hollow -
a sketch of rain
angles obtused -
blur and fade

rocking horse/stalking horse
the correct light is blue

discord/discard/disclude
Lenin, Marx
Marx, Lennon
Good Dog...

My favourite is the "birds inverted" verse.

Wow! The Watch is still here and still standing (unlike it's namesake's fate in the Last Chrons). I guess some things in life do last forever! And I remembered my password - whohoo...maybe I haven't pickled my brain yet...peace!

Hey everybody!

Thanks Linna, for reminding me this thread exists. ;)

My daughter is reading LFB now, and I've been thinking about this place a lot lately - my first internet home. ♥
I just wanted to say hi, and I miss you guys.
I also really want to do a re-read because it's been waaay too long and I want to incorporate the books into M's lit curriculum. We're still homeschooling and I think there's a lot to learn from in these books - at least there was for me. I think Dissecting the Land is a great place to look for writing assignment inspiration. But boy do I have some catching up to do.
