Way to make me feel guiltier StevieG.

Wednesday...I clearly need a holiday. Think I need to put in for some leave.

It's going to be a long week.

Issues with 3D in general, or only with a hangover? Just curious because I can't do 3D at all, and they seem to be pushing it rather heavily these days. But then, I have weird vision problems and I rarely go to movies anyway.

I'm not into 3D either.

As for the week, it was long, but it's almost over.

And I've put in for leave for the beginning of August. 3rd is a public holiday (elections) and 9th is also (Woman's Day), so have taken off from the 1st to the 10th. Need it.

I never go see films in 3D. The only one I've seen is Gravity (which was great), but I don't see much reason to usually.

What I hate is when most theatres only show a 3D version, and I have to mission to find a normal one.

Ah well, Friday at last. Hooray.

This. I still haven't seen the Warcraft movie because of it. My theater is showing both, but the regular is limited showing at weird times that don't work for me.

Also, when did movie theaters start selling beer? This is new to me. I don't have any issue with it - they even had a decent selection - but seriously, when did that start?

When they realized they'd make more money on concessions if moviegoers could get drunk. Seriously, theaters make more money from concessions than they do from tickets. Crazy business.

I usually skip 3D movies -- it generally adds very little to the experience. I thought it would be better to see a whole movie in 3D, but your brain gets used to it after a while and it's just like seeing a regular movie, except at an inflated price.

Speaking of movies...I think we're seeing Ghostbusters this weekend. I read a review today that said it was pretty good. Should be fun. :)

Hence $6 for $0.25 of popcorn. In that case, why did it take them so long? Or was it a licensing issue or something that only recently got sorted out?

Beer and a movie actually sounds like a good idea right now, and since it's Friday night and I have no life, it just may happen, though it will be a rented-from-iTunes sort of movie rather than the big screen.

They have to...almost all the ticket price goes to the studio. Movie theatres in the UK have always sold beer. They don't do it here in SA though.

Monday. Tired. Listless. Demotivated.

All of that and more. Or would it be less? Ah, phooey -- I'm too tired, listless, and demotivated to figure it out.

"Ghostbusters" was fun. Not as great as the original, but still entertaining enough. Dan Ackroyd had the best cameo.

Just imagine if people could smoke pot in the theater. Everybody would be buying concessions DURING the movie and probably after as well.
Munchies = $$$$$ on concessions.

I saw a movie in 3d once, and it gave me a headache and I felt like my eyes were crossed for about 3 days. That was several years ago, maybe it's changed.

Ghana was awesome. The place we stayed at was perfect (La Paradise Inn, if you ever get to go).

I got a good laugh, I saw a friend today and she told me how her son was in Cuba for work. Tonight I went on Facebook and he posted a picture of the 3 other guys he is with, who on account of the internet being rubbish were all reading books and drinking tea. :D

Went swimming for the first time this year. It was very enjoyable, and I really want an Olympic sized pool in my house please. I'll be happy to replace the treadmill with it (even though I HAVE actually been using it). I just find swimming so much more pleasing.

I will be going to a concert tonight and taking tomorrow off work. And tomorrow we'll be taking the kids to an amusement park, so that's great too. So I'm cheery today.

I'd love to have an Olympic-size pool of my very own -- if only someone else would do the maintenance. I like swimming laps, but I hate sharing a lane. There's nothing worse than having somebody tap me on the foot to pass me when I'm trying to concentrate on not drowning...

Meh, I can live without swimming. It's fine in small doses, but it's cold and wet, which I don't really like.

At least it's Thursday.

One more week, then I'm on leave for 10 days.
