Don't be fooled by a built in template, which probably isn't what you think [or maybe it is, I don't know what you think or know about the idea], and definitely don't be fooled by that "rebuttal."
For one thing, has at least one point that shows they don't understand what the theory actually said.
It treats embedding as the synonym/definition of recursion. But it isn't even close. Embedding is merely one kind of recursion.
Doesn't mean the UG theory is correct, many people who think it's basically right and basically bullshit are gathering data and working on/against it...it just means that particular criticism is invalid because they don't know what recursion is/means.
They make several other [at least 5 by my count, and I'm not even up to date on current theory] criticisms based on things UG doesn't claim.
