Visually, I think Rigel fits the role, but the clenched and bitter demeanor may be a stretch for him.

Seriously? I don't think I fit Covenant at all, EXCEPT for the demeanor. I've had Resting Bitch Face for, like, twenty years!

Well, we're dealing with a relatively small pool of candidates, and I don't think u. could pull it off...

If Jenn is elsewise occupied, could someone drop her a word that both Fuzzy and I would like something signed? Will pay for postage etc. although will have to check whether giantshipping proves costlier than owl post to UK.

Therewith, has anyone considered setuping a fest video link (Skype, Google hangouts etc.) for us outlanders? Although depending on the hour it may get tricksy for me as I might not have fully recovered from previous jetlag yet. :P

Jenn says mail it, and she'll get it signed for you.

Also, Donaldson won't be able to put in an appearance, as he has plans that weekend.

So does that mean you are back, or just stopping through?

It probaby means I'm through and just stopping back! :-)

There'll probably be some posting from the roadtrip and it's very likely that I'll get back in the groove after the election in November (it's even managed to get us down way across the Atlantic!).

I'll also be doing a shift to help us over the 1,000,000 post line, which is looking like somewhere around the New Year now! :-)

That will not boost our post count...

I am hoping you all have a great time, but I will not be able to make it. I am teaching this fall at the local community college on the weekends so that I can extract myself from my job.

Good luck, Rob! Sounds like a worthy endeavor, even though we'll miss you.

u., I'm glad you finally showed up again. I was beginning to think the cows were holding you hostage...

I am really sorry you can't make it but you are making some great decisions for you AND your family. Stress kills daddies and children need daddies. (So do Mommies)

I am getting ready for the big road trip with that guy from Ireland in my new TANK. I cannot get used to 23mpg. 8O My packing so far looks more like a medical supply wagon. Heating pads, ice packs, exercise bands, back brace, knee brace yada yada yada. Embarrassing. I'm bringing a shotgun and will shoot each texting driver as we pass.

First real stop is Asheville. Love Asheville.

What route are you taking? Asheville is about 3 hours from me.

You guys aren't stopping in DC? :(

So, in the From Bad to Worse Dept.: Jenn texted me today to let me know that she fell and broke three ribs. 8O She is still up for hosting, but won't be doing anything energetic...
