I'm not opposed to dead either...I can always find some way to occupy myself. :D

I'm gonna be a bit busy for the rest of the week...have to put together a case study and a motivation for some Google award thing we're submitting for. Meh.

On Monday, I started my day by walking face-first into a giant spiderweb. Yesterday, I started my day by walking face-first into a giant spiderweb. Today, I ducked. There may be a powerful lesson in there somewhere, or it may just be that spiders are jerks.

Oh, a change is coming, feel these doors now closing
Is there no world for tomorrow, if we wait for today?

It will be verified if tomorrow you duck face-first into a giant spider web.

That would be one smart spider.

Today's been steady at work, but not overwhelming. So that part's good.

I'm working on a new knitting project, and I'm somewhat concerned that I won't have enough of one color yarn to finish it. Yesterday I thought I was going to be okay...but then I looked at the directions again and realized I'd omitted half of a previous section of the pattern. So I'll be ripping out a lot of knitting tonight... :(

That sounds tedious. Sorry.

I'm actually picturing the spider out there posting something about how the idiot human walked straight into his brand-new web AGAIN.

I've been feeling the same all week.

And Sorus, the only time I've ever heard of a spider posting on the web was when it said "SOME PIG".

Bwaaaaahahahahahaha.....

Ugh....sorry. I'm a dad, and I guess that proved that I now found dad jokes funny.

I think spiders in this neighborhood are a little snarkier than Charlotte was.

Ditto on the not-enough-sleep front. They loaned my minion to another location for the week and we're shorthanded as it is, so I'm doing the work of about 4 people, part of which they literally expect me to be in at least 2 places at once for. And on top of that, my boss gave me another huge project for 'if I have time'. That makes it sound optional. It isn't optional.

I love it.

Did I voice aloud an idea I'd imagined of cats talking about their humans on the internet?
(within the last few months? in one of these cat-related dialogues?)

Nah, it's okay: she walked right in to that one!

Might as well stick to the theme.

I like that feeling one gets as if having stepped through into a parallel universe.
This evening I'd gone to the supermarket but was surprised, as were others, that the store was closing early. So instead I went to a corner shop that meant taking a detour home through a park. I was lucky to find a Wellie wanging contest going on. So I parked my butt on a bench and watched the fun. The evening had turned surprisingly warm and sun dappled. All very quaint. Almost ... like somewhere else!

I had to look up Wellie Wanging, though I was correct in my guess that boots were involved.

Me too! I'd originally typed "Welly Throwing", then thinking that welly is more a Scottish term for a gum boot, I looked it up. Maybe it was better left as it was ...

Oddly enough, there is woman from where I work who approached me a few days ago and asked if I like folk music. She said there was a Open Mike Evening at the pub that happens to be very near to where I live. As it turned out, the Welly Wangers were part of the folk club's evening entertainment. I'd completely forgotten all about the invitation.

Tuesday is by far the most "Meh" work day of the week most of the time.
This week is no exception. Congratulations you made it through Monday. Now suffer through a day that is neither the first or the last. Not the middle. Not the day before the last day.

Tuesday needs to be turned into one of the most exciting, fun and special work days of the week. However I have no idea how. If someone knows please don't keep it to yourself.

It's not Monday, at least...

I'm feeling slammed at work. It's like they know I'm going on vacation in a couple of days...
