Ok, I'm trying to think of a questions (which I will do so as I type)...

Events unfold... (can't remember the exact order)

Soar is chasing Trumpet and the only thing Trumpet can do is pretend her drives failed, and 'crash' into an asteroid. Then Free Lunch comes along to finish Trumpet. Soar can't ignore this, and so her and Free Lunch attack each other (meanwhile, Nick has sabotaged Soar's super light proton cannon) while Trumpet attempts to flee, doing a 'cold burn' or something (can't remember the exact term). Angus goes EVA in desperation and manages to launch a singularity grenade which sucks down Free Lunch. Soar and Trumpet manage to escape the black hole (with Angus still outside!).

Well, on the fringes of the system.

After Free Lunch is lost to Angus' singularity grenade and both Trumpet and Soar escape the resulting black hole, that perspective intersects that of the encounter between Punisher and Calm Horizons. There is no way that Min and Dolph can fail to respond to the incursion of the Amnion defensive.

As the perspectives of the ships come together, Punisher is hammering Calm Horizons as steadily as she can, rotating to bring each of her weapons to bear...and coincidentally covering a blind spot in her scan with the rotation.

Trumpet is hiding behind an asteroid in the swarm, struggling with recovering Angus from his EVA, and treating Morn from the injuries she experienced as Trumpet fought free of the gravitational forces of the singularity. High G has been a problem for Morn, has it not?

Meanwhile, Soar is also in the area. While Sorus is still nominally Captain, the mutated Milos (with his instantaneous communication with Calm Horizons) is effectively calling the shots.

There is also an intruder loose on Soar...

Is that what you were looking for, Stevie? If not, hopefully I set the table for the answer you seek.

These are the parts of the Gap that should not be rushed through. SRD wound these stories so tightly, with so many points-of-view, that I hesitate to gloss over too many plot points in a single answer.

When Angus has been brought back in from EVA and sickbay has treated him, he can't be awakened. Why is this and what is done to get past this issue?

His chip put him into stasis because of the damage he suffered, and...uh...they had to threaten his life to make him think he had to defend himself to survive?

Crap. This is like, exactly where I am at in the Series (first read). Spoilers... my own fault.

With so many points of view it would have easily become tedious, but SRD really does keep the momentum going.

Davies pulled his chip and reinserted it, causing the system to reboot and end the stasis, since nobody could give him any priority codes any more - something like that.

Yes, Davies cut into his back again and "rebooted" him by pulling and replacing his datacore.

Angus must have a lot of scar tissue over that site. In addition to the initial welding, Warden cut him open once and now Davies has done so twice.
