It does suck but I'm used to it. It will be good and weird when one day in the future I retire and I won't have to get up for nuthin! Except maybe to go and buy food. Of course by then we'll all be eating little green crackers made from...well I won't spoil it for you.

Lately I have had less chronic pain than I have in years. Hooray for me!
I am pretty sure it's because I decided to start working out. I mean, I do like 3 20-minute hi intensity interval workouts a week, I am not exactly living in a gym. But that plus the almost-daily yoga has made me stronger. I have been 27 days without a migraine (and trying not to think along the lines of "I'm due").
For much of my life, pain is what got me out of bed in the morning. Lately I wake up and I can actually enjoy lying there for a few minutes.
Iz gud day for me!!! Thankful!!!

It's a bad flu season here this time around. My doctor has been pestering me about being overdue for a checkup, but there's no way I'm setting foot in a hospital when I'm not sick. I get exposed to quite enough at work. Hope you feel better soon.
I had a rather strange week. I keep randomly thinking of people I haven't seen in years, then I randomly run into them a couple of days later. It's bizarre. Ran into my ex-boss from Borders today.

Exactly. A few years back, I had minor surgery performed upon my foot by a doctor with a Very Bad Cold. I watched with horrified fascination as his nose would begin to drip yet again - he'd start to wipe it on his sleeve, then think the better of it. At the point where I was beginning to wonder if he would drip on my foot, he would excuse himself from the room for a moment, then come back with the drip cycle temporarily reset. Was he stepping outside to wipe it on his sleeve? Was he stepping outside to use a tissue? He wasn't gone for long enough to be washing his hands or changing his gloves afterwards. I didn't catch his cold, but still. Yeech.Avatar wrote:Haha, yeah, I avoid both doctors and hospitals like the plague...they're full of sick people.

Compare that to the animal shelter where I work - hygiene there is taken very seriously. We're required to use hand sanitizer after visiting each animal, and toys and brushes and such are also sterilized after each use. Volunteers in the hospital wing wear surgical gowns and booties - each animal has their own set outside their room.
Blame my cynical nature - sick animals don't get adopted; sick humans generate bills. I'm not saying doctors are intentionally making people sick, but sometimes they don't really seem to care.

That's good. I had Dental Appointment 1 of approximately 4 today, in which they took 3-D X-rays with a machine that sounded like something from a very low-budget science fiction movie. Also found out that my insurance is basically not going to cover any of this, as usual. Yay. Also have not told my boss yet that I will need a day off to have metal screws put in my head. But he already thinks I'm a robot, so there's that.

I don't have anything new to complain about.
In the interest of conversation, here's a random story.
I bought a bottle of soap today. They changed the label since my last purchase. It now says 'Unfit For Consumption' right at the top on the back label. Apparently this was a problem? If the person doesn't notice on the front label that it's freaking soap, is the warning really going to do any good? What is the world coming to? What kind of idiots use my brand of soap? What does it taste like?
