The City at the End of Time

Post by Mighara Sovmadhi »

I love Greg Bear's work, starting (in my own timeframe) with ANVIL OF STARS and going through two of the Way-related books, then to TCATEOT. And that one took the cake, I'd say. Also, the destruction of time reminded me of the Worm's effects at the end of TLD. IDK if Bear did it better but he did do it well, some reviewers spoke of getting unlikably lost near the end but I handled it all in stride, I hope.

The website thing weirded me out, was a throwback to my days with the Lost Experience too, so it was all cool in that end, too.

Has anyone else here read this book?

Nah, but I did really like his "Songs of Earth and Power" books. And Blood Music.

I like Anvil of the Stars, and also read and liked The Forge of God. Haven't read anything else, but I assume he's good in general.
