I'm trying to revive my blog by posting something every day this week. Coming up with things to write about is harder than it really should be - I think it's mostly aversion to sitting down and actually doing the work involved.

Ahhh!!! This last part is like me.

I actually have a blog post that basically wants to rip itself out from within my soul and make its way into existence.
for one of the blogs I created.
I'll create blog and then make like 1-5 posts, and then... nutthin'. Bet you're not as bad as me!

Also, for this^ all I can say is:

Yeah, the whole blog thing is difficult for me too. My motivation just sorta tapers off.

Haha, doesn't get that hot where I am. For me 95F is at the upper end of the scale. But I'd rather that than 48F. :D

It's really weird, this is the first time I have ever NOT been all  about being in America. It just seems strange. Especially knowing that Cheetohs is at the helm. SURREAL.

However the weather is amazing today, Robins are singing, and I could get used to it.

I'm glad you are enjoying your stay in America, deer.
Well, at least for the most part. :-)

Feeling more upbeat as Thursday is now visibly slipping into Friday.

I'm slowly concluding that my avoidance of social media (I've doubled down on avoiding it this year.) is causing other areas of my life to burst into bloom.

I have no idea how the job thing works. I doubt social media would have helped me in the job sphere, and would just have increased my anxieties.
Also I get like 100 times morally dumber when I go on Facebook. Things that I would normally realize are a bad idea just seem like a good idea.
As to how it works, all I can say is that it has become standard procedure for hiring managers to check social media accounts, and the fact that I don't exist in that realm probably counts against me.

I'm excited.
I hope it keeps going.

otoh, I have one e-mail I should send soon that I'm stressed about... and getting so emotionally-high has me a bit frazzled.
I hope I take up wisdom & courage and do what I should.
That's great - I hope it keeps going too.

As for the email, I always say to just get it over with, you'll feel better when it's done. (I'm not always the best at taking my own advice, but that doesn't mean it isn't good advice.)

SATURDAY!!!!

Cleaned the apartment. Just realized I forgot some laundry in the machine in the next building. Hanging out with Fawn of the Dawn.

Went shopping yesterday. At Goodwill I got a blouse, skirt, and lovely scarf, plus a book for $11.

The scarf is like, if a rainbow unicorn became a scarf, this is it.

The book is called "The Soul Is Here For Its Own Joy", and is a book of sacred poems. I opened it and the first verse I read took my breath away, so I bought.

God bless America.

I don't want to own it; however I do want to see what it looks like, in all its wonderment.

picture, please, deer? (and "Yay, hanging out with Fawn!")

One day I was telling my kid to brush his teeth by that time in the day because seriously...
..and then I facepalmed because I, umm, hadn't brushed mine yet.

So egregious!
Like... if I saw an orthodontist with crooked teeth... would I recommend him?

Sorry to hear about the like... strong expectation of being on social media for being in a management position... yeech.
sometimes I'd wondered if Linked-In is good for that / less crazy version of social media. never had a Linked-In account. but maybe in your field, they'd still be searching for people by name on FB.

Yeah, I probably wouldn't wear it either, but it does sound awesome.

I think it's probably for any position these days, but I really don't know. It's been years since I was in HR, and given the changes, I don't think I'd want to go back to hiring people, but I do like to know how things work. I mean, it makes sense to check up on someone to make sure they're not a deadbeat felon that hates puppies or whatever it is they look for - and given the sheer amount of stupidity that gets freely posted, they probably do dodge some bullets that way.

Had a bone marrow aspiration and biopsy on Friday; not fun. Will supposedly get results this coming Friday. Went to see Stars on Ice at Key Arena last night. Good show, but the muscles around the entry site on my right hip were protesting by the end, and I'm not much more comfortable today.

The Watch always drops off at the beginning of summer. More RL stuff going on, I guess.

Menolly, sending prayers your way!

I will try to get the rainbow unicorn scarf up today, by popular request.

Every time Stag of the dawn and I come to America, we have to reset our lives. We no longer have schedules. I've gotten pretty good at creating a daily routine for myself but Stag flounders. Later, we will get crazy busy putting in marathons of travel and presentations, but at least it's not the relentless daily schedule we both usually have. I enjoy having more time and seeing my kids each day. Stag gets grouchy for a while every time until the busyness sets in. Haha.

One temptation that has us totally sucked in is Netflix. We have already watched all of Stranger Things S1 (which I loved) and caught up on Sherlock. Started catching up on Supernatural yesterday. It's Fawn of the dawn's account and maybe I'm glad we don't have it in Nigeria...

It's a beautiful day!

I need to have a schedule, but a break would certainly be nice. Bracing myself for an uncomfortable and likely unproductive talk about that subject later this week. I don't know if it's worse to not ask for time off, or to ask for time off knowing it will be approved and snatched away again. Anyway, enjoy your downtime while it lasts.
