Wonder how Av is doing.

Oh, a change is coming, feel these doors now closing

Hopefully Av will be back soon to report on how his dental procedure went.

In the mean time I hope everyone has a safe and happy Thursday.

Hoping it went well. I'm dreading my next round, mainly because it's going to be yet another expensive and painful middle step that isn't really going to make much difference yet. But it has to be done.

Feeling somewhat vindicated, since the new inventory system thingy (technical term) that the company rolled out earlier in the week has my site in green and it's the only site in the district that's green across the board. Tell me again about how my standards are too high.

Well, the fact that its finally Friday, once more, should raise everyone's spirits. I am forced to admit that I'd be a bit happier if it were quitting time instead of 5 minutes until I clock in but Friday is Friday.

Ditto. It isn't quite Monday here yet, but it's close enough for the stress levels to start climbing. Double the workload + minion taking more time off + having major dental surgery and my time off being denied + epic heat wave & warehouse with no AC - well, most of that is standard for this time of year, and I actually like the heavy workload, but I'm dreading it right now because my dentist said I should take at least three days off to recover, and that is not going to happen.

Av is back, and mostly alive and well. Dental stuff wasn't so bad as it could have been.

One tooth short, and annoyingly time consuming dental stuff I have to do daily, but have to go back in 3 months to see if things have improved, otherwise it will be proper surgery.

Had a nice week off for the most part. Stayed completely offline.

All I did was read and play games.

Now I'm back at work of course. 350 emails waiting for me. (This is a big problem with taking leave.)

Oh well... such is life I guess.

Av, glad you are back and didn't have too difficult a time with your dental procedure.
Hope you are able to blast through those emails and get to a bit more normal work day. :-)

Ha, no chance. Also battling my extreme lack of being motivated. ;)

Nice to be back. :D

Hoping for the improvement, but it still sucks losing one.

I don't know why I'm dreading the upcoming round of surgery more than I was last time - having screws put in doesn't sound as unpleasant as bone grafts and whatnot, but I had to sign a lot more paperwork and it sounds like it's going to be more unpleasant in general. I'm intentionally trying to picture worst-case scenario stuff, especially since this whole situation has managed to exceed my imagination in that area so far - which is pretty impressive.

Be glad when it's done.

Well, the numbness is wearing off and about all I can say is it was an experience that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy and I'm glad it's over. Another three month wait, then one more minor surgery and finally the cosmetic part, which will be expensive but probably not literally painful.

Don't get hit in the face.

This is the kind of advice I think we can all appreciate and employ in our daily lives.

Someone should start a good advice thread that is nothing like the smart ass thread in Mallorys but is about genuinely helpful tips. :)

:LOLS:

I don't think it would be possible not to be smart ass in a thread like that. :D

Wednesday here...all as well as can be I guess.

Happy recovery Sorus. :D

Winter solstice has come and gone :D

But I didn't brave the festivities down the road at the beach - the annual nude solstice swim :D
