Sorry to hear that Peter.
I am still on antibiotics recovering from my cold.
What a pain in the neck and other places.
I wish you a speedy recovery.

Well, it's officially Spring (actually, it was on Friday already). Now we have to worry about how hot it's going to get, and how much rain we'll have, but at least we can do it in the daylight. :D

Meh...Monday...Not feeling this week at all.

Yeah, I'm very curious about the amount of rain we'll get this year. We had a record amount last year (after they predicted that it would be another year of drought), and last week we had a record-breaking heat wave, followed by what they were calling rain (which was an overstatement) - but seriously unusual weather in general.

The crazy season is winding down at work, and there's a bit of a lull before the next crazy season. Would really like to take a week off, but weird weather aside, I have not seen any evidence that Hell has frozen over, so vacation is highly unlikely.

I feel like the Watch was seriously empty in the last 24. Y'all getting ready to hibernate or something?

See it's predicted that the temp here will shoot up by nearly 10 degrees over the next 3 days. Think it's gonna be a stinker.

Well it was Labor Day Holiday here in the good old US of A yesterday.

We were all supposed to be outside firing up the barbecue and grilling hamburgers and hotdogs for the last time this Summer so the American members were probably just preoccupied with festivities.

As to the weather, I live in Florida which has only one season...HOTumn.

And we have Hurricane Irma hurtling toward us which is some concern.

Feeling a bit more like myself this morning which is a good thing.

Yeah, good luck with all that. :) Hope the devastation isn't too widespread. ;)

Otherwise...well...meh.

Tired, lazy, demotivated. Still, got the last week of the month off, so that'll be nice.

I feel threatened this morning.

Irma is inching closer on the map.

I went out to find bottled water yesterday and found none.
I had already bought some on Sunday but felt it would be smart to have more...nope. Thankfully the wife and I filled up our gas tanks so that's done. We live on the West coast of Florida and Irma is now projected to run up the East coast. If that track holds we will receive rain and high winds but nothing like it would be if Irma visited by running up the mouth of Tampa Bay...which would be devastating.

There is still some uncertainty as to where Irma will actually go so we're keeping an eye on things.

Hope it's all ok Tom.

I managed to break my hand (metacarpal) playing football/soccer 4 weeks ago. It's a spiral fracture which makes it unstable, and is a complete pain in the backside since it's my left hand, and I'm left-handed...

Hope everyone is going well - sorry I've been MIA for a bit.

Me too. Kind of wishing I was back in Nigeria at this point. It was a fantastic summer, just too freaking short!!! Sweater weather in NY State... a sweater made of duck feathers...

Scary. Hope it misses you.

I always say I wouldn't want to live anywhere with drastic weather, but it's only a matter of time before this city get leveled by an earthquake. (Could be tomorrow, could be a couple hundred years, but it's a when, not an if.) We're just along for the ride on this planet.

Listened to the new St Vincent song today and now I really want to go see her on tour, but the nearest stop is in Manchester, it's on a weekday, and it'd cost me at least &150 and a day and a half of holiday time once travel and a room for the night are counted... Part of me just wants to go for it anyway, or even ask for it as a birthday present. But then again I'm not really a live gig kind of person. I'm torn.

I say go for it, but I'll also admit that I probably wouldn't myself. But I'd also regret not going, and I probably wouldn't regret going.
