Having the power back on... in the midst of the heat and humidity and sleeplessness - oh, yeah!
Hey you guys, checkin' in... I've had a wacky couple of weeks.
My hubby's considering looking into a position that would involve major changes for our family...
(mind you, not even considering applying for it; at the "considering looking in to it.")
Anyway, I, being the sort of person who I am, have been freaking out about it.
Ahh, well.
On the plus side, school started up, and so I've been doing Creative Writing with the kids.
It is... sort of working!
...and it gives me an excuse to find out what I can learn from other people about writing...
(through things they wrote, of course!)
Because then I can teach the munchkins things that aren't just my own opinions, and various disconnected ideas I've cooked up.
Also, I'm excited about seeing people back around the Watch.

Orlion, balon!, StevieG, Skyweir, Damelon, caamora dropping in... who else?
(sorry, Murrin... I don't know whether you're returning or have been around, but just focusing on other subforums)
"People without hope not only don't write novels, but what is more to the point, they don't read them.
They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.
The way to despair is to refuse to have any kind of experience, and the novel, of course, is a way to have experience."
-Flannery O'Connor
"In spite of much that militates against quietness there are people who still read books. They are the people who keep me going."
-Elisabeth Elliot, Preface, "A Chance to Die: The Life and Legacy of Amy Carmichael"
