Yeah, a particularly bad one.

Vain says the domain issue is sorted, dunno if that will help you though, depends on why / how it was blocked on your side. If it was automatic, might just stay blocked unless you can talk to the IT guys.

Where the hell is everybody?

Yesterday was a depressing bummer.

Today should be a bit better but I can already see my post count is going to be less than it was due to the site block on my work pc.
I will attempt to compensate in different ways but it might take a while to figure out.

Meanwhile its Tuesday.

Did I do any of the boringly practical stuff I had planned to do while off like cleaning out my study and organising the kitchen cupboards etc?

Uh, no.

Did I go anywhere fun and exciting?

Uh, no.

Did I just laze about reading and playing computer games?

Yes, yes I did.
That's pretty much my idea of a dream vacation.

That's because it IS a Thursday.

Leaving tomorrow for yet another road trip. Ugh. (Road trips are for fundraising-- not vacation.)

Once again, we never made it to any beach or swimmable lake this summer. Grr. It's our own dang fault for not making and executing plans. Stag of the dawn was in Nigeria during the 3 weeks when we actually had hot weather, so that doesn't help. Now we're too busy and the fact that I only worked 4 months this year is beginning to hurt. (My job resumes in Nigeria in January.)

Well, enough griping! Because actually it's been a really great summer. I went hiking several times, did a lot of cooking, made pies, swung in a hammock, read me some good books. So I did actually get some real vacation in there. Yay!!

Problem is, when they're over, it's like they never happened. :D

Friday, hooray. Been a bit rainy too, and supposed to continue over the weekend, so that will be nice.

Seriously, where's Sorus?

Ahh, Friday.

I'm doing a diet thingy (4 Hour Body, Slow Carb, or whatever name they want to give it), and my cheat day is tomorrow, and I'm excited, but I have a bunch of plans and am afraid I will not have time to sufficiently stuff my face all day to take full advantage of a cheat day.
I haven't weighed yet this week (I usually do the morning of cheat day before I put anything in my mouth), and I'm on the third week. Last week when I weighed, I've lost 15 pounds already in two weeks, and I feel a little smaller this week (although I don't know how the weight is, but hopefully it is still going down).
This year has been a year of change for me, mainly to get healthy. I've quit smoking, and now I'm stopping my bad eating habits that took over after quitting smoking. I'm not much of a drinker, but they do allow wine, and I've been doing that for my vice in the evenings before bed, so I suspect I'll become an alcoholic, and then have to kick that by...I dunno....becoming addicted to heroin or something. But at least I'll lose weight on the heroin diet plan. You rarely ever see a chunky junkie.
Also we are renovating the house. With that and the change in the political spectrum and my kids growing up a little more every day, it's definitely been a change this year. And I'm ready for it to stop.

Working. Another site was having issues, so I got sent there to help fix stuff after working a full shift at my location. 16-hour days plus commute. I am a zombie, but I'm looking forward to my next paycheck. Zombie me was going to go to a movie to celebrate surviving the week, but the only two things I wanted to see (Blade Runner & It) were sold out. Blade Runner was expected since it just opened today, but I thought I had a chance at It. Oh well. WoW people probably think I'm dead.

Glad you're not dead. :D

Monday Monday Monday.

Rained all weekend, which was nice. Back at work, which is not.

Uh, other stuff, blah blah blah. :D

I wish it would rain here. Half the state is on fire. Closer than usual - the air is full of smoke.

This week is going to seem easy after last week (unless I get sent back there - which could happen and I can't turn down the OT) - but I'm tired and burned out and generally frazzled and I started my day with having to spend an hour cleaning up after the weekend crew, which didn't help. But my boss is back from vacation tomorrow, so that'll help some.

Exhausted. Massive storms yesterday, serious hail, unseasonable cold. Had no power from when I got home until about 1am. Cats massively unimpressed.

Need a weekend to recover from Monday.

Where's everybody?

Still struggling with exclusively posting with my phone. Tried to compose a couple of lengthy posts on my work desktop but of course when I transferred them to my phone and tried to paste them into a new post (I saved them as ascii) I got the 401 error message which I assume means that special characters and soft returns are still present and incompatible. Bummed.:-(

I was trying to post in the tank. Its probably for the best.

Ah hell, that sucks. Do I take it that you can't install any software on your work pc?

(Hmmm, what about a web-based service? Try this: www.zerotunnel.com )

Thanks Av, but the software lockdown for the city is pretty tight, as is suppose it should be.

Another bummer of a day. I can't tell if its me or just the universe. :-(
