It was classic November all day in central New York State: overcast, cold, and drizzling. A good day to stay indoors and make soup. I finished both the book Emma today, and Season 2 of Stranger Things.

This morning is clear, with the sun sparkling on the grass. It's just a bit crisp.
So it's just cold enough to have the heat on inside.
I feel like all should envy me..
Hope ya get rain Sorus.

"People without hope not only don't write novels, but what is more to the point, they don't read them.
They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.
The way to despair is to refuse to have any kind of experience, and the novel, of course, is a way to have experience."
-Flannery O'Connor
"In spite of much that militates against quietness there are people who still read books. They are the people who keep me going."
-Elisabeth Elliot, Preface, "A Chance to Die: The Life and Legacy of Amy Carmichael"

We're supposedly getting rain, but there's some kind of atmospheric malarkey that's evaporating it before it hits the ground. I don't remember the technical term. Sky gremlins are stealing it, or something. That sounds technical.
Oh, a change is coming, feel these doors now closing
Is there no world for tomorrow, if we wait for today?

We got snow here... I'm, you know, kind of excited.
Just a light covering... a bunch is gone by now.
I loved the "Sky Gremlins are stealing it" explanation upthread there for the rain...
I imagined myself giving an explanation like that to a child.
