I'm trying to decide how strict I want to be here. Unfortunately, determination and confidence aren't synonyms of the word I'm looking for.
Though with due apologies to our resident Dread Poet, 'assertive hips' are mentioned. But still not what I'm looking for. Erm, not in this context, anyway. Moving on...
I can't think of a clue that won't give it away. I'll give it a couple more days, then decide what to do.

Oh, a change is coming, feel these doors now closing

Min could not have met Mikka before the events in This Day All Gods Die, and in that book she has a bandage over the right side of her forehead from a concussion she received in the previous book (I think she got it fighting Nick for control of Trumpet). That bandage partially obscured Mikka's right eye, and I think it reminded Min of Warden (though Warden's left eye is the one that's prosthetic). I believe Mikka's assertive way of moving, including of moving her hips, showed a confidence that also reminded Min of Warden.

This is a practical answer, I admit, yet wasn't quite what I was looking for.Avatar wrote:They don't have to take human frailty in acceleration into account?
To clarify: I'm looking for the name of the other component of the drones that has appreciable mass besides the gap drives (like the gap drives, this other component's name is plural).

Well miniaturised receiver and transmitters and SSOD CMOS chips, and fuel cells - and the fact that no human operator pax or cargo drones have less mass than other human operated and human pax vehicles. Enabling them to travel faster, transmit and receive data across vast distances at great speeds.
