Today more storms :D Got the goats out, going to have to wire my tree trunks as they're stripping bark. I was kinda hoping these goats weren't interested in bark stripping .. but alas that was misplaced hopefulness LOL

If its not fencing its wiring trees and shrubs  lol

Yeah, the old girl isn't doing that well...ICU on a respirator right now. I'd say it's a matter of time, but then, it's always a matter of time. :)

Otherwise...Monday...Meh...

Ah, it happens to us all, right?

Honestly we've been expecting it for some time, so not exactly a shock or anything. Just hoping it's quick and peaceful, and preferably in hospital.

If she recovers and gets sent back home, it's just going to happen again in a few months.

That is difficult Avatar. Then the constant back and forth and waiting. I cannot think of anything really to be helpful or comforting. All I can think is I know me at these times it can be human nature to withdraw and insular. If that is your nature at all I hope you reach out to loved ones, friends and relatives, religion, community or whatever support systems are helpful to you. If you are already doing that bravo to you.

Her gran. ;)

Thanks guys. Actually she seems to be improving, off the respirator now, but as I mentioned before, it's a mixed blessing.

It's really not that bad you know guys. If we're not at peace with the idea that everybody dies by now, well, that's our failing as far as I'm concerned.

Our problem with the death of other people is usually (almost always) a selfish one. What we mourn is the gap they leave in our lives. Once you're dead, you have no more problems. Only the people left behind suffer your absence.

Well its kinda your gran too ;)

mmm... thats very true, everything you say .. but its ok I think and healthy to mourn the loss of someone. People are a big part of other peoples lives.

Its hard to be without some people, and yes it is probably selfish .. but I think its ok to be selfish sometimes.

I've grieved the loss of people I've never physically met - you may have too. We bump into people in various places, some you connect with, some in a rather big way, others you dont.

You are human at the end of the lolday Av ..

And its ok I think to mourn with and for others. A friend of mine recently passed, I didn't know her very well. It was cancer and it took her quite quickly. But I raised her daughter from the age of 12yrs. We would probably never have been good friends, but I grieved her loss for my "foster" daughter and her siblings.

I cant explain beyond that why I felt such grief at the loss of this woman .. but then I weep at sad movies and am a bit of a sucker like that.

But I dont think its bad or wrong to mourn the loss of someone... especially someone close to you ... and anyway there are no rules against it ;)

It's not bad, or wrong. And of course in the moment there is shock and loss.

But at the end of the day, the person you're mourning has no more problems or pain or worry. To me at least it seems more a way of feeling sorry for yourself. (When it's directly related to you anyway. If you're mourning with somebody else, then it's empathy with their loss.)

Either way, looks like it's not about to be an immediate issue, although that said, you never can tell. :)
