So hows the weather?

Sorus - I have to tell you San Francisco was one of the strangest cities in the climate arena that I have visited. When I was younger I visited there with a bunch of friends and within one day experienced heat and then freezing rain. Over the next several days the climate jumped around like crazy.
PS for all those that visit San Francisco do not try cable cars like I did during a busy time - there is nothing romantic about it - you are squished in one like sardines. If anyone accused you of being too close to them - it would be a joke - there was no choice - you have to hold in your breath just to fit in. Ok rant over

Hahaha.. sounds like Melbourne notorious for 4 seasons in one day.
Thats no good Sorus .. living in a dry zone we some times with some desperation wait for rain. Thankfully this has been our wettest year yet and ALL our fruit trees are well laden. Its not unusual for us to pick peaches and apricots the size of walnuts lol .. cant do much with them, cant sell them, cant eat them
ATM though as every year the major focus is pasture and despite the good rain weve had we dont have enough. Gonna have to supplement and that gets expensive.

That's typical. I always warn visitors to dress in layers. But lately (past few years) we've had less fog and more extremes - last summer broke some major records heat-wise. We aren't really supposed to get extremes.samrw3 wrote:Sorus - I have to tell you San Francisco was one of the strangest cities in the climate arena that I have visited. Cable cars are definitely a tourist thing, and I've never understood the appeal. I remember riding one when I was very young, clinging to the outside, certain I was going to fall off. Always crowded, and never comfortable.
Oh, a change is coming, feel these doors now closing
Is there no world for tomorrow, if we wait for today?

Hahahaha Sorus
Its a cyclical argument going nowhere I fear .. it seems that you are in one of two camps A. Self proclaimed superior intellects that believe Global warming is a mythological conspiracy spawned by quasi pseudo religious extremists who are Uber negativist and doomsday proponents or your B Prponents of environmental responsible approaches to farming, land use, industrial operations etc acknowledging the necessity of biodiversity and environmentally sustainable practices and outcomes. YeH one of those two camps ..
Oh ... are my camping preferences obvious

Oh dear .. that was indeed a failure of objectivity lol

Siberia hit -30 degrees. And Britain seems to be caught in it's slipstream. So yes, very cold here with occasional snow flurries.
And yet this afternoon while waiting for a hair cut the sunshine got warmer and warmer ... and warmer. I might have gotten a little tan. Even the barber commented that, "it is better on this side of the glass!"

We had a super-warm day today. Like 60 F.

They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.
The way to despair is to refuse to have any kind of experience, and the novel, of course, is a way to have experience."

Oh, thanks for asking...Avatar wrote:You're being funny, right? That's not warm...
Yeah, context. It's still winter here and I live in a place that snows.
We got crazy -7 F and like -12 F days early in this winter.
And normally you can expect 20's and 30's.
So this week's surprisingly, unseasonably warm.
