Headline today about how the 'biggest storm of the season' is failing to live up to expectations.

No kidding, weatherpeople. No kidding.

21-23 is about ideal as far as I'm concerned. Not too hot, not too cold. :D Just right.

Beaches and wind are not a good combination. :D (Unless you're wind or kite surfing I guess.) :D

Haha, yeah, 20 years ago I would probably have loved to try it. These days, I find a seriously diminished tolerance for getting wet...

Youre an old romantic Sorus 😊 .. as in old romance .. not youre old lol 😂

Hahaha Av .. getting wet is how you survive extreme temps here. My brother lives on the river, has a boat, skis and a donut 🍩 and its the very best fun. But yeah not getting wet isnt an option. 😂

It's a lie, Sky. :D

Getting wet doesn't protect you from heat, it just masks the symptoms.

Rained plenty yesterday, all cleared up now though.

I think that's the first time I've been called any sort of romantic. Sorry to disillusion you, but it has more to do with being severely photosensitive and moderately antisocial. And liking rain. :P

Hahaha Sorus ..

Its cool to be a romantic, photosensitive, an enjoyer of long walks on the beach ... and a liker of rain ☔️

I love reading a good book when its raining out. I love wearing wellies, raincoat and working in the rain .. and I love that feeling of coming home to a roaring fire after a hard days work. Sadly that rarely happens .. but I love it when it does. 😁

Yeah, y'all know me too well. :P

Anyway, it's supposed to rain this week. Maybe I should drag my camera to the beach and see if I can get some shots for a video I'm working on. (And by working on, I mean I can see it in my mind. Art always loses something when I translate it from my brain into the real world.)

At this point I am obligated to say: Evaporation is a cooling process.

That sounds cool!

Right?
Consider me to owe you a quote from Jane Eyre on this!

RE weather: we are having a relatively warm day over here... sometimes the sun's out, sometimes behind a cloud.
"People without hope not only don't write novels, but what is more to the point, they don't read them.
They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.
The way to despair is to refuse to have any kind of experience, and the novel, of course, is a way to have experience."
-Flannery O'Connor

"In spite of much that militates against quietness there are people who still read books. They are the people who keep me going."
-Elisabeth Elliot, Preface, "A Chance to Die: The Life and Legacy of Amy Carmichael"

My Jane Eyre knowledge is somewhat deficient, so I look forward to that.
