I love it when my kids are home ... and like to make them all their favourite foods too.

As for my dinner tonight ... no freaking clue

Actually turned out to be the stir-fry, mine was sweet and sour pork. But the GF insisted on julienne carrots, which are a real pain to cut by hand...

On the other hand, my sauce turned out great...bit of base sweet and sour sauce, added miso paste, black bean paste, rice wine vinegar and lemon juice.

Yes, julienne carrots can be a real knife-skills trial. Use a mandoline...and don't neglect to use the guard!

I don't have one. Usually I don't mind showing off my knife skills, but I'm lazy and julienne (and cubes) are a pain.

Tonight we had dinner at the pub .. good meals, a few beers, good friends, great conversation, addresses consciousness, in animals, talked about primates lol, food, the world, politics

All in all .. put the world to rights .. and had a good night.

Last night dinner was a bust...got home with a killer headache, so took a couple pain killers and went to bed. Woke up, had tea, rusks and an apple, and went back to bed.

Tonight may involve bacon.
